By Sandra Woodruff

 Printer friendly page

Yield: about 2 cups

8-ounce block nonfat or reduced-fat (Neufchatel) cream cheese
1/2 cup light vanilla yogurt
1 tablespoon maple syrup
1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/3 cup dark raisins
1/3 cup chopped walnuts

1. Place the cream cheese and yogurt in a medium bowl and beat with an electric mixer until smooth. Beat in the maple syrup and cinnamon. Stir in the raisins and walnuts.

2. Cover and refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight before serving. Serve with slices of whole grain bagels and fresh apple slices (dip apple slices in orange or pineapple juice to prevent browning).
